PM interacted with a beneficiary from Khowai, Tripura : Ujjal Bharat, Ujjal Bhavisya- Power@2047

On the occasion of 'Ujjal Bharat, Ujjal Ujjal, Power 2047', the Hon'ble Prime Minister interacted with the beneficiaries of the Central Schemes of various states in a greeting conference to the countrymen through video conference. Meanwhile, Shri Kalaha Riang of Khowai district exchanged views with the Prime Minister on behalf of Tripura state. While interacting with Prime Minister, Kalaha Reang, a beneficiary of Saubhagya Yojana from Mugniakami RD Block in Khowai district of Tripura spoke about the changes brought about by the arrival of electricity in his village.  He informed that after Solar Power, dependence on kerosene has reduced.  The Prime Minister further asked about other changes brought in by the arrival of electricity. Reang said that now they are able to charge the mobile phones for which they used to travel long distances.  Solar power has improved the education of children, and local industries and evening life has undergone a change. The Prime Minister asked him to utilize educational channels run by the government on TV. The Prime Minister also encouraged him to save electricity. In the interaction programme, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and others were present.
