Surgical oncology team ABD, RCC and neurosurgery team successfully completed the most complex surgery at GBC hospital in the state. A 32-year-old woman had a large cancerous tumor attached to the skull bone. The portion of the tumor adjacent to the skull bone is surgically removed and covered with a titanium flap and a posterior rotation flap. The complex neuro operation was successful after an 8-hour effort by a joint team of 10 doctors from RCC, ABV and GBP hospitals. Agartala Medical College & GBP Hospital Neurosurgery Operation Theater under the leadership of Dr. Siddareddy Ankere Zipalli, Dr. Devdutta Saha (Neurosurgeon), Dr. Subhashish Laskar (RMO) team. Oncology team headed by Dr. Ashish Gupta, Dr. Amlan Devavarma, Dr. Bhaskar Roy, Dr. Suman Das, Dr. Rahul, Dr. Saikat Sen, Dr. Rakesh Tripura, Dr. Mrinal Devavarma. The complex operation was made successful by the tireless efforts of Anesthetist and Neuro OT Sri Bukharai Jamtia and others. After the complex operation, the patient is now healthy and taking food. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulate the doctors for this success. CM Dr. Saha hopeful that no one will have to travel abroad for treatment of complex diseases like neuro, he posted on his Official Social Media account Thursday afternoon.
