Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while expressing his opinion from attending the meeting today said that no other government has done the way that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji is thinking about the development of the people. The people of the Janajati section of the state understand that BJP as a national party can improve their standard of living. It is possible to build the best Tripura with the efforts of the present government. The Chief Minister also said that the Agartala airport was named after Maharaja Bir Bikram during the current government. 12 blocks inhabited by Janajati's have been declared as aspirational blocks. 32 Forestry Clusters have been formed to procure forest resources from the people through MSP. So the trust in BJP has increased among the people of Janajati section. The Left Front has used the people only as a vote bank during their 35 years of rule. They did not make any real progress. The present government has planned to construct three college hostels for the Janajati's. Efforts are underway to set up a 100-bed boys hostel in Shillong. The government has taken initiative to form the current ADC into Tripura Territorial Council. There are plans to increase the number of seats to 50 so that people from all ethnic groups have adequate representation. A plan has been taken to set up 16 model schools in Janajati areas. Four of them are now running. The government has taken up more comprehensive plans including solving the Bru-Riang refugee problem, taking up projects of about 1300 crore rupees to improve the living standards of the Janajati areas. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha congratulated all those who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party today in Karbook with confidence in this plan of the government.
